About me
My name is Brian Wansink, and I’m a retired Cornell marketing professor who has published best-selling books and 200-some journal articles. Now, as a later-life musician, I play sax in a Motown band (and in a Grateful Dead band), and I research how popular music can be used to encourage kids to join band or orchestra and joyfully continue playing music into adulthood. In this spirit, I’m finishing a book titled Find and Join a Band: Pop, Rock, Country, or Jazz. I have three daughters who play piano, flute, and cello in college or high school. My youngest two daughters and I also perform a monthly Vegas-style lounge act for memory care units in local nursing homes (in memory of my mom).
