About me
Ray Eddy received his bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Duke University, and then after a brief career in business he returned to Duke and obtained his master’s degree in teaching. After some time in education, Dr. Eddy decided to pursue one of his passions and start his own company where he provided music camps all over the U.S. with a staff of dozens of instructors. This is where Dr. Eddy’s path took a strange turn, as he decided to pursue another (unusual) lifelong dream of being a stuntman. He soon acquired a role at Walt Disney World playing Indiana Jones in the “Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.” This led to an active career as a full-time actor and stunt performer, and eventually writer, producer, and director. Dr. Eddy has now returned to his teaching roots. After a year as a Professor of Mathematics at Valencia College, he joined the inaugural faculty of the Entertainment Management program at UCF’s Rosen College in 2017. During this time he earned his Ph.D. at UCF in a program called Texts and Technology, with a dissertation that focused on the relationship between immersion and entertainment. He then moved to the Integrated Business program at the UCF College of Business Administration in 2022.
