About me
Monika Julien, Assistant Teaching Professor in Drexel University’s Music Industry Program, teaches courses on music marketing, entrepreneurship, and gender representation. She also oversees the program’s practicum course, Mad Dragon Music Group, which includes a student-run record label and concert promotions enterprise. Monika brings over a decade of industry experience in developing and executing music marketing strategies and programs for globally-recognized brands. Before joining Drexel University’s faculty, Monika led Red Bull’s culture marketing in New York City, managing campaigns including Red Bull Music Festival. Prior to that, she worked at Cornerstone and The FADER directing music programs and initiatives for notable brands like Converse, Sonos, and more. Beyond her role in the classroom, Monika is dedicated to supporting students' career paths through mentorship and professional development opportunities. She also currently serves as the Global Chair of Next Gen Initiatives and Engagement for the organization Women In Music, where she helps to extend gender representation initiatives to college campuses nationwide.
